Summary: | This review aims to investigate different types of endodontic medications used between treatment sessions, their advantages and disadvantages, in vivo and in vitro experiments in which they had the expected efficacy, or in which they were not effective, but also the direct and residual antibacterial effects of antimicrobials used in endodontic regeneration, against bacterial biofilms, out of the desire to make their selection easier by practitioners in clinical cases encountered.
Thus are analyzed and exposed several endodontic drugs (calcium hydroxide, TAP, DAP, propolis, but also mixtures thereof) that have been studied clinically or in vitro, observing which were more effective and in which specific cases. |
