Description
Summary:Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be described in simplistic terms as “Thinking Machines, a term first coined by one of the founding Fathers of Artificial Intelligence, Prof John McCarthy, nearly 63 years ago [1]. AI is defined as, the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages [2]. Recent technological breakthroughs have undeniably renewed interest in the field of AI, especially following the developmental leap achieved by the likes of IBM Watson and Deep Mind by Google in various fields including Healthcare, Defense, Space research, designing and manufacturing, automated vehicles, natural language processing, games, simulation technology, etc [3].
