Summary: | This article aims to introduce how to create a fast and
robust 3D scanner using XIMEA Currera-R camera for industrial
environments. The primary goal is to design and develop a fast and
high precision active triangulation 3D scanner based on the
advantages of Currera versatile camera and the latest 3D
industrial profiling techniques. The Basics of Triangulation
section introduces a fast active triangulation technique followed
by several implementation methods regarding the camera and
laser position. In the Laser Profile Analysis paragraph the most
common measurement problems are presented that occur in noisy
environments; a new laser peak detection technique with the aim
of reduce noise derived from reflection of the object or insufficient
lighting condition; and a dimensionally stable interpolation
method in order to provide accurate profile. |
