In this article, we consider language abilities through the prism of two approaches: linguistic and communicative. Linguistic and communicative approaches had a profound impact on the teaching and learning of a second foreign language. A significant number of studies were conducted on these two approaches; however, they were not combined into one study. The consideration of the problem of linguistic creativity can facilitate the process of second language acquisition. The article discusses the methodology of creating a linguo-creative strategy based on the regional and linguistic components and namely – geographical, historical, and literary.
