Description
Summary:
After three years, the Center for Research and Economic Measurement (CIME) of the UNSAM carried out a new edition of the factory survey of Villa Lynch (General San Martín's party, Buenos Aires) on industrial activity. In addition to make a description of the local manufacturing reality, the study tried to capture the modifications in the activity that took place from 2015 to 2018. Among the most relevant results of the research are the following: First i) only 23% of those who work in the factories reside in the General San Martín party; second ii) only 18% of the manufacturing jobs are covered by people without university or technical education; third iii) a scarce 9% of the industrial production of the locality is destined for export; and fourth iv) just 18% of the companies made investments in the last five years.
