The sample was drawn fromhouseholdswhowereobserved violatingwater conservationby-laws.The firststageidentifiedawareness of consequences,ascription of responsibility,concernforself-image, low self-efficacyperceptionsand expectationof others’cooperationasthemain antecedents of norm-violating behaviour.Thesecondstagegeneratedcross sectional quantitative data to test thehypothesesthat emanatedfromthe firststage.
