Summary: | The search of effective methods of wood volume reduction in the semifinished products and finished products, glued laminated beams for joinery products in particular, is very actual problem due to deficit of wood resources in Ukraine and the world. The purpose of our research is comparison of dry edge-surfaced lumber volume which is used for three-layered glued laminated beams of different constructions and establishment of wood volume reduction directions. Having performed the research we have got some precise results. First of all, the calculation of the balance of wood raw material in the production of three-layered glued laminated beams was performed at all stages of the technological process from dry edge-surfaced lumber. Wood raw material balances were calculated for using of four constructions of three-layered glued laminated beams with cross sections 72×86 mm and length 3000 mm. These balances were defined for determination of wood economy after implementation of investigated beam constructions. Furthermore, different volumes of wood raw materials were processed for production of 1000 running meters of three-layered glued laminated beams of specified modifications. Finally we have made the conclusions that percentage of balance ratio depends on construction of glued laminated beams. The proposed construction of L-cross section of three-layered glued laminated beam with cavity for joinery production will allow to save up 18,44 % of raw wood material compared with glued laminated beams of rectangular section. From 11,543 m3 of dry edge-surfaced lumber we can produce 1184,4 running meters of L-cross section glued laminated beams with cavity or only 1000 running meters of three-layered glued laminated beams of rectangular section. The received results demonstrate that the proposed constructions of three-layered glued laminated beams with a hollow can be implicated into joinery production. The minor complications of technological production of these beams don't influence significantly on their implementation into joinery production. |
