The effects of application of personal computers, the Internet, global distribution and reservation systems are numerous, ranging from broadening of market and more efficient placement of travel arrangements, to increased business efficiency, lower costs, increased competition on tourism market, as well as a potential disintermediation of traditional travel agencies.
