Description
Summary:Candle and moth are among the most commonly used concepts of classical Iranian literature. These concepts have been a source of inspiration for poets and writers for many years in both classical and contemporary Iranian literature. The moth and candle concepts were interpreted in various ways by the poets who wrote in both mystic and lyric style and carried to the present-day literature. Qasem-e Anwar, who is one of the important sufi poets of the VIII / XIV century in classical Iranian literature, also included the story of candle and moth in his corpus. In this study, the story which is written in disputation style and is close to the structure of the classical candle and moth story but which also contains differences, is discussed. Briefly, after the information about the author's life, the people he was influenced, his work and language were transferred, the Persian text of the story and its translation into Turkish was given. The difference determined according to other candle and moth stories was determined and explained.
