The complex of complementary research methods are used in order to achieve the set goal: theoretical (analysis and generalization of research papers); empirical (data collection and storage) and experimental methods (examination and implementation). Results and scientific novelty. The article determines a meaning and methods to use associations as one of mnemonics for teaching a foreign language. The specific term as «associative tag» is introduced and explained in terms of a pedagogical method to create a stable and permanent system of associative and semantic links and imaginations being fixed in a memory under the certain information, action or event. Practical significance.
