THE ORIGIN OF THE EFFECTIVE CHARGE OF PROTONS AND α-PARTICLES IN SOLIDS
A simple version of the effective charge model of the stopping power of protons and α-particles in metals shows a rather good agreement to the experimental data at the time that reveals the tragic behavior of the Functional Density Theory (DFT).
