Description
Summary:The article tackles the theme of this volume - language makes history - from the perspective of feminist discussions on the topic, centring on the truth-potential - and resistance-potential - of language. The means of discussion employed to this end are political analysis, the analysis of the rhetorics of war and of literary criticism. Incorporated into the analysis are texts by Gertrude Stein, Elfriede Jelinek and the much less known exiled Austrian author Peter Heller.
