Summary:An account is given of eight hydroid species, assigned to five families, from three districts of the Konkan coast on the western coastline of India. All species are reported for the first time from the study area, while five of them are reported for the first time from the coastal state of Maharashtra. Identifications were based on morphological characters including hydrothecal shape, colony form, arrangement of hydrocladia, and polyp structure.
