Indicators that refer to things other than themselves are constructions in which the codes reside. The meanings of these codes in relation to each other form a message to be transmitted to others. Everything about semantics, such as the meaning of these messages, the embodiment of the abstract, falls within the field of semantics. In this study, these concepts will be mentioned in general and what the indicator science is and how it emerged. Charles Sanders Peirce, who is the founder of the semiotics, and Roland Barthes, the great contributor of this informatics, In addition, the models that they reveal will be examined and the change in the representation of the indicator will be evaluated. In the conclusion section, the theoretical universe of the semiology will be evaluated in this framework by considering the similarities and differences between the two theoreticians. http://iaud.aydin.edu.tr/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/iaud_v09i2002.pdfSemiologyIndicativeScreenedDenotationConnotationSemanticsRoland BarthesCharles Sanders Pierce.
