To describe a clinical case of spontaneous suprachoroidal hemorrhage in a female patient with arterial hypertension and wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD).Material and methods. There are described clinical manifestations, the course and outcome of the first registered in Russia rare case of spontaneous suprachoroidal hemorrhage in a 80-year-old female patient with wet age-related macular degeneration and crisis course of arterial hypertension.Results. In the result of complex treatment (local and systemic) vitreous and suprachoroidal hemorrhages were completely resolved and the process has been stabilized during 10 months.Conclusions. The active choroidal neovascularization associated with uncontrolled systemic arterial hypertension may be a cause of massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage in elderly patients and need a more aggressive AMD monitoring.https://www.ophthalmosurgery.ru/jour/article/view/59hemorrhageage-related macular degenerationarterial hypertension
