Summary:In the articles recent publications on postoperative delirium, the development of which is relevant and socially significant issue of Orthopedics and Traumatology. The review include modern concepts in pathogenesis, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of this complication. It is concluded that the main direction of prevention of postoperative delirium is a modification of the risk factors for its development.
