Summary:The aim of the paper analyses the complexity of term corporate social responsibility from historical and present points of view, to deal with individual principles of corporate social responsibility and to map out the present situation in Slovakia. The object of practical part was to analyse the implementation of principles of corporate social responsibility in food industry. The main part is focused on the evaluation of the survey of corporate social responsibility conducted among companies in Slovakia.
