| Summary: | In the article there are presented some biological and cultural characteristics of walnut (Juglans regia L.)
production in the conditions of Republic of Moldova. Based on cytoembryological studies of intraspecific (dialelic)
hybridizations the degree of compatibility and the peculiarities of compatibility of all dichogamous types there were
established. Actually registered assortment for multiplication in country is directed to sustainable development of walnut industry, being based on varieties created in the Republic of Moldova, as well as introduced from abroad, which
possess valuable biologic and agronomic characteristics, large ecological plasticity and high adaptability to local variable agroclimatic resources.
