Description
Summary:The aim of this paper is to answer, if, and at what degree, the practice done abroad, impact on professional skills self-esteem of the participants. The paper is based on interviews with University students who participated in hospitality practice in a frame of Resort Leaders (USA) and Olymp (Greece) Programs. The questionnaire is supplemented by participatory observation in USA (2014) and Greece (2015, 2016 and 2017) in the resorts hosting students. The results show that the self-esteem regarding organizational, interdisciplinary and linguistic skills of all participants was very positive, even when the sector for practice was not related to their professional future.
