<span id="docs-internal-guid-94e53909-01b3-bf92-440d-a9c2ec337b95"><p dir="ltr">The paper discusses the role of independent media,which became apparent during the June 2013protests in Brazil, by analyzing the format ofcollaborative, participatory, online and uncutjournalism, shared via social networking on theInternet. We use examples of collective alternativemedia and point collective practices of mediathat acted in the protests of Rio de Janeiro untilOctober of that year. We intend to discuss theemergence, origin, practice, and the key role thatsuch collective media played in disclosing facts inreal time, revealing a different reality form whatwas usually shown to the viewers.</p><div><span><br /></span></div></span>
