Abstract Education is absolutely needed by every human being as a shaper of world civilization. The higher the education of a group of the more noble civilization anyway. Expected changes in education is a real change in everyday behavior. Moral decline and rampant criminality allegedly caused by the noble philosophy of education that began to fade. So that means educational institutions that are responsible for establishing the ideals (objectives) of education, content, and organization of the education system. Character development in schools is a telling step in building a nation of character. He expects that the school can produce quality human resources that are reliable, both faith and piety and science and technology. For the character-based education necessitates the construction of school culture with a solid foundation, which is the character. Character concerns the moral values of religion and intelligence of children who become the main capital in a society and a nation. Key Word: Education, Caracter, Generation
