The analysis focuses on the theme, the methodology and the theories discussed in articles, as well as authorial demographics. It was verified that there are possible differences in Brazilian research on internationalization compared to what is practiced in other countries regarding the theme, methodology and theories. Within the authorial demographics, it is pointed out that the contribution of public and private institutions, as well as gender distribution is in line with other areas. At the end, possibilities for expanding the study are suggested to better reflect the Brazilian scientific production in Internationalization of Companies.https://internext.espm.br/internext/article/view/297internacionalizaçãoprodução acadêmicabalanço da literatura
