Summary: | This paper analyses the Brazilian scientific research on Internationalization of Companies by reviewing all articles published in journals in the area classified as CAPES Qualis A, in the period 2001-2014 and its comparison with some indicators of other studies on academic research in Brazil and abroad, both in international business as in management in general. The analysis focuses on the theme, the methodology and the theories discussed in articles, as well as authorial demographics. It was verified that there are possible differences in Brazilian research on internationalization compared to what is practiced in other countries regarding the theme, methodology and theories. Within the authorial demographics, it is pointed out that the contribution of public and private institutions, as well as gender distribution is in line with other areas. At the end, possibilities for expanding the study are suggested to better reflect the Brazilian scientific production in Internationalization of Companies.
