Description
Summary:The newsrooms of university media (UM) outlets have become a key environment for learning through journalism. However, amid such a transformation, it is necessary to reflect on the future of these spaces. This research employs a Delphi survey to consult a group of experts with the goal of reaching a consensus on the current and prospective situation of UM in Ecuador. The results identify a number of factors that shape these environments, which face a future that appears marked by networking, media convergence, and the growing importance of virtual newsrooms. In conclusion, in the face of an environment marked by a need for change and ever-dwindling financial resources, we recommend strengthening collaboration with other agents.
