Description
Summary:The historical retrospective of formation of the nonreligious phenomenon «new Christianity» in the context of scientific research was analyzed. The features of the emergence of phenomenon as a kind of religious deviation of traditional (historical) confessions, particularly Pentecostalism were observed. NeoChristianity emerged as an offshoot of traditional classical Protestantism. The activity of neoChristian communities is oriented to adaptation to modern living conditions stating rational principles of worldview, as reflected in modern historiographical discourse. NeoChristian groups are engaged in criticism of orthodox Christianity, accusing them of abandoning the original traditions. They announce their church the only true movement of evangelical Christianity, even messianic in salvation of the Christian faith. The emotional component of faith learning practice among neoChristian churches in the context of historiographical research is emphasized. The author emphasized that in historiographical studies the problem of dialogue between historic churches and new Christian associations is not examined enough; this fact requires more deep investigation.
