W.E.B. Du Bois and the Concepts of Race, Class and Gender

Du Bois was three generations ahead of the sociological literature on race, class and gender. His work today shows its contemporaneous nature, with newly-minted words such as "standpoint epistemology" reflecting some of the pioneering ideas introduced by Du Bois.
