Didactic strategy for university students to develop competence in searching mathematic knowledge

The paper is intended to describe a didactic strategy to favor the development of the competence for searching mathematics’ knowledge in university students. The strategy is based on a theoretical model explaining the relationships between the operating subsystems of the educative process, as well as the development of the referred competence in the learning process of math. Examples are included. The evaluation of the results was conducted by means of peer evaluation and a pedagogical experiment in the teaching of Probabilities and Statistics for engineers.
