MODERN TRENDS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF ITMO UNIVERSITY

The innovative development of the national economy is a priority trend in modern Russia. However, the implementation of strategies related to the development and acceleration of innovation largely depends on the level of innovative development of educational organizations, the formation, development and use of their potential.The article presents the results of the analysis of indicators of scientific and innovative activities of ITMO University. The key indicators for consideration are the monitoring of the effectiveness of educational institutions of higher education collected by the Main Information and Computing Center of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. According to the results of the analytical work, it has been revealed that the indicators of the object of the research have positive dynamics and have values significantly exceeding the threshold. The data characterizing the number of publications and their citation, the amount of funding for research and development and their share in revenue, reflect the presence and effective use of the innovative potential of ITMO University. The university also organized a technopark and a center for the collective use of scientific equipment. However, the speed of creating and testing the results of intellectual work lags behind the speed of their transfer and commercialization, which is explained by the need for additional time and other costs for the implementation of these processes.Thus, the article presents the results of the study and summarizes indicators characterizing the innovative potential of the university, identifies current trends and their causes, identifies trends for further development.
