Description
Summary:The author discusses the premise that journalistic enunciations not only fill the public sphere, but also divide and structure it. She regards the act of enunciation within a journalistic discourse as incomplete, because it cannot be simply related to a particular subject. This leads her to examine the question of responsibility and, hence, that of reception. An examination of the three ways by which a journalistic enunciation introduces division in the public sphere, sheds light on the complex relationship that the enunciation creates with the present and future notion of “us” and therefore with a particular political community.
