Summary:Arava (leflunomide) was administered to a pt of 39 years of age with definite according to ACR criteria diagnosis of SLE after insufficiently effective treatment with glucocorticoids (intravenous dexam- ethason in total dose of 120 mg and methypred orally 20 mg/day). She received leflunomide (arava) 100 mg/day during the first 3 days and than 20 mg/day. Changes of clinical (arthritis, arthralgia, capillari- tis, fever) and laboratory (ESR.CRP, ANA, anti-DNA, ACL, seromucoid) indices showed good efficacy and tolerability of the drug in this SLE pt.
