Summary: | This article is the result of the interest to demystify the idea that the Fazenda Santa Clara has been a breeder of slaves. Such theoretical refl ection interest is guided to conduct a survey on slavery at the farm, to point data showing the absence of reproduction of slaves in Brazil. It is taking a breath, a look back in order to gather and present the arguments for tipping stories, stories not real in terms of the farm. Th e objective pursued here, begins of ef-fort because no one interest centered, but also the story in its essence, since by living in a city near Fazenda Santa Clara, about 155 km from Juiz de For a at the shores of the Black River and bordered by the Mantiqueira mining in the municipality of Santa Rita do Jacutinga, I come to draw a parallel between the reproduction of slaves on the farm and the vision of historiography. Moves away, thus no pretense of a comprehensive enrollment of production in focus, selecting a few works based mainly on its usefulness in the task of showing the broad thematic spectrum that mark distinctive way slavery on the farm. |
