This article is dedicated to examining the stages of the establishment and evolution of study programs in Cycle I – Bachelor and Cycle II – Masters at several universities in the Republic of Moldova. The study plans for the specialties of History and Ethnography, Ethnology, comparing the correlation between specialized disciplines and fundamental, general, basic socio-humanistic orientation, and optional ones. The programs of the ethnical disciplines have been examined, and their teaching requirements have been observed. Special attention was paid to the departments’ reports on didactic, scientific and educational activity collaboration with institutions and organizations from Moldova and other countries. The difficulties encountered by faculties and departments in the training of ethnologists are highlighted. At the same time, the actions regarding the continuous improvement of the didactic process are determined.
