In addition to being an outstanding writer, her editorial work began after her arrival in Cadiz, where she met and established a close relationship with José Rodríguez y Rodríguez, archivist and owner of Tipografía La Mercantil, who eventually became her husband. While in charge of the journal Cádiz. Revista de Artes, Letras y Ciencias (1877-1880), she built a strong editorial collaborative network of women writers that resulted in various publications. Moreover, she promoted a much larger editorial project: the Federación Literaria Andaluza or Federación Científico-Literaria.
