Description
Summary:A particle electrode was prepared from kaolin and steel slag as raw materials. The synthesized kaolin/steel slag particle electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) measurements. The optimal preparation conditions of the kaolin/steel slag particle electrode were obtained which resulted in significantly better electrocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) in a three-dimensional (3D) than two-dimensional (2D) electrochemical oxidation reactor. In addition, the kaolin/steel slag particle electrode showed good cycle performance.
