В статье рассмотрены способы наименования тестов, шкал и классификаций в реабилитации на материале французского и украинского языков. Актуальность разведки обусловливается необходимостью составления французско-украинского словаря реабилитации. Основными методами работы были описательный, сравнительный, наблюдения и классификации, а также лексико -семантический анализ. Научная новизна обусловлена тем, что впервые проводится сравнительный анализ терминологии реабилитации на материале французского и украинского языков. Результаты работы свидетельствуют о широком использовании заимствований из английского языка для наименования тестов, шкал и классификаций в терминологии реабилитации французского языка; употребления эпонимов и аббревиатур, что приводит к появлению синонимии.Koval Rostyslav, Tyravska Oksana. The article is 160 Roman languages devoted to the analysis of the terms which are used to nominate the tests, scales and classifications in physical therapy / rehabilitation in French and Ukrainian languages. The familiarization with various diagnostic techniques helps a specialist in physical rehabilitation / physiotherapist to identify many disorders, diseases and defects, and to develop a comprehensive program for functional recovery. The fact, that current researches in linguistics are mostly focused on the terminology of a certain branch, defines the objective of this work. The terms play a leading role in the language development. Physical therapy / rehabilitation term system isn't widely presented in scientific works. This fact show the reason and the novelty of this research. It is worth mentioning that all terms have been selected from the latest lexicographic works. The lexicalsemantic analysis, the descriptive and comparative methods, methods of observation and classification were the main in our study. The analysis that was carried out, led us to the following conclusions: 1) Among French titles of scales, tests and classifications in physical therapy / rehabilitation, we have found a large number of borrowings from the English language. This may be explained by the fact that some titles were proposed by English-speaking specialists. Subsequently, French correspondences appeared and parallel use of French and borrowed names began; 2) We have noticed the widespread use of eponymous names that leads to the appearance of the phenomenon of terminological synonymy. A large number of different tests, scales and classifications were named after the person's name, who developed or proposed a certain diagnostic technique. There is the use of toponyms; 3) Abbreviations in the examples are commonly used as language cost-cutting measure; 4) Most terms are formed with the help of “classification” (f), “échelle” (f), “épreuve” (f), “score” (m) and “test” (m). As a conclusion, might be said, that the lack of special French-Ukrainian dictionary should be eliminated in order to ensure an effective scientific communication between Ukrainian and foreign experts (particularly from the countries such as France and Canada, which are recognized to be the leaders in the development of physical therapy).
