Description
Summary:The earthen houses building heritage must be preserved and rehabilitated in order to cope with current use without endangering the security of the inhabitants and to ensure living conditions at the level of new housing standards. Within a research program carried out at NIRD “URBAN-INCERC”, Timisoara branch, studies and laboratory tests were carried out on compositions of earth-like clay with/without reinforcement elements made of natural fibers (sheep's wool) in order to achieve plaster mortars with superior mechanical characteristics.
