Protein bands of the cuticle of Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum and Boophilus microplus using electrophoresis technique

In this study by using SDS-PAGE electrophoresis different bands of cuticular proteins of engorged female ticks, Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum and Boophilus microplus, was clarified six different bands of proteins with molecular weights (182, 68, 67, 66, 57, 56 KDa) of H.anatolicum anatolicum while...

The cuticular protein determinants of H.anatolicum anatolicum and B. microplus were 4.7 mg/ml, 1.3 mg/ml, respectively. It may be concluded that protein bands of cuticle could be used as one of taxonomic parameters of ticks. http://www.vetmedmosul.org/ijvs/media/13-1-2a.pdfProtein bandsHyalommaantatolicumBoophilus micropluselectrophoresis
