Description
Summary:This article analyses the first consequences of the forced virtualization of the university teaching in Argentina, which is a unilateral measure taken by the authorities as a result of the health emergency and the mandatory lockdown established in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. Almost compulsorily more than 2 million university students and 180,000 teachers have found themselves facing a new reality: online teaching and remote work. In this article, the first steps of a collective and counter-hegemonic struggle led by teachers of The National University of Luján between March and June of 2020 are reviewed and analyzed. This collective of teachers, together with its union, Asociación de Docentes de la Universidad Nacional de Luján(ADUNLu), organized the first days of strikes during May 6th and 7th to protestthe forced virtualization.
