Summary: | This research aims: to study current circumstances and desirable conditions in
developing the faculties of Rajabhat Universities in the northern region toward learning
organization and to improve the guidelines for developing the faculties of Rajabhat Universities
in the northern region toward learning organization by using descriptive research to analyze
the data between quantitative data and qualitative data. The samples were executives and
staff members in the faculties of Rajabhat Universities in the northern region which were
divided into 2 groups: In group 1, 343 persons were used in collecting the quantitative data
by simple random sampling technique and in group 2, 7 persons were used in collecting
qualitative data by purposive or judgmental sampling technique. The research instruments
were 1) five-rating scale questionnaires with reliability of 0.94 and index of item-objective
congruence (IOC) between 0.60-1.00. The statistical data analysis was conducted by means
of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and 2) structured interview which
was analyzed by using content analysis research.
The findings were as follows: 1) The current circumstances for developing
organization were found that the most practice was shared leadership while the least was
information system. 2) The desirable conditions for developing the faculties toward learning
organization showed that the most desired practice was team learning while the least practice
was system thinking. 3) The guidelines for developing the faculties of Rajabhat Universities
in the northern region toward learning organization consisted of 6 aspects, including
information system, knowledge transferring, system thinking, organization structure, team
learning and shared leadership. |
