Summary: | Objectives: In this study, which aimed to determine the healting behavior level of Physical Education and Sports teacher candidates.Methods: Therefore, the Health Life Style Orientation Scale was administered in 2013-2014 academic years. 84 students of the 4th year and 88 students of the 1st year; hence, total of 172 student studying in Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department of Kocaeli University.Results: In conclusion, healting life style behavior of the teacher candidates was not found significant in terms of the variables of age, gender, year of doing professional sports, participation in a leisure activity, year of university education, degree of parental education, parental residence of the last 5 years, place of accommodation as a student, whereas a significant difference was found in terms of the duration of doing amateur sports, and the economic status.Conclusion: This research has shown that healthy lifestyle behaviors are influenced by income level and participation in sports.
