Phythamagglutinis (lectine) of mushrooms (Lactarius sp.)

48 species of the genus Lactarius were examined on the content of phythaemagglutinins (lectins). Dried mushroom caps stored in herbarium for 8-9 years were studied; 21 species were found to possess the ability to agglutinate human erythrocytes.
