The article takes a look at this artist’s methods in the field of stained-glass creation. Between 1956 and 1959, this painter of international reputation designed his first stained-glass works, executed by J.J.K. Ray, for the Couvrechef convent near Caen. Between 1968 and 1969, he created the stained glass windows of the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Kirche at Hamburg in Germany. In 1978-1981 he was responsible for the windows of the collegiate church of Romont, in Switzerland. He has also designed stained-glass works for exhibitions and private commissions. Through the archives held by the artist, we are able to look at the entirety of his work in this field and to show, in particular, the importance of his non-executed designs, between 1981 and 1989, for the cathedrals of Strasbourg and Nevers, for example, the collegiate school of Ecouis (Eure), the church of Bormes-les-Mimosas (Var) or the library of Limoges.http://journals.openedition.org/insitu/6873CouvrechefCastro and the Stained Glass ChallengeSergio de Castro and Stained GlassCaenBenedictine monastery of the Saint-SacrementJean Zunz
