Summary:The paper describes experiences with the preparation of an in-formal course in the Balkan Peninsula. The paper shows the current situation in the area of recreation and leisuretime activities in Serbia. The course was the first experiment, which has ever taken place in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The purpose of the course was to educate young people in the area of leisure time and recreation. Data was collected at the course and they are analysed within the final thesis at Faculty of Physical Culture in Olomouc. The aim of the research is to analyze if the in-formal education is able to function and bring similar results at the international field as well as in the Czech Republic.
