Summary:This research aims at getting acquainted with the types of problems faced by male students and female students in the secondary stage. In addition, this research collects data on the students' post-secondary plans and the kind of guidance which they receive from parents, teachers, and other sources. It also investigates the need of these students for organized and specialized educational counselling. Furthermore, this research tests a group of null hypotheses at the 5% level of confidence: 1. There is no significant difference between the male students' problems and the female students problems. 2. There is no significant difference between the male students' post-secondary plans and the female students' plans. 3. There is no significant difference between the science students' problems and the arts students' problems. 4. There is no significant difference between the science students' post-secondary plans and the arts students' plans.
