This article it’s a research conducted from an experience made on “Professional Development Program of Interdisciplinary Approach in Gerontology and Geriatrics” at Hospital Servidor Público Estadual de São Paulo. Based on this research, it was possible to realize the relevance of the project “Família Participante” (Participating Family) and the importance of the project, with the respective activities, to the caretaker of the elderlies, like the improvement of the interaction between interdisciplinary team, nurse staff an caretakers.
