Summary: | The article is part of a larger research, developed at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS / CPNV), in which it seeks to raise the production of knowledge in the area of Mathematical Psychology, specifically in the field of "attitudes". The methodological approach refers to the qualitative research, of a descriptive-analytical character, of the state of the art type, in databases of two research groups considered pioneers in Brazil and, therefore, references in the subject. The collected data demonstrate that it is the role of the initial formation, at least in thesis, to demystify the negative impressions that the students have regarding Mathematics. Due to the proportionality of the studies, there seems to be a lack of research with this descriptor in the initial teacher training, reason why we are not dissociated from the theme and we defend the strengthening of this line of research.
