Summary: | The very high exposure of the American banks during the past years, by investments on the real estate market and on those markets related to it, has generated the current financial crisis. Many investment banks and insurance companies have become casualties of the financial crisis, being purchased by other banks or taken over by the government in order to prevent bankruptcy. This paper presents the effects generated by the extension of the USA financial crisis into other states economies. The research consisted in presenting the assembly of the actions taken by the world states governments for saving or restructuring the financial systems. Based on country risk assessment, the paper also presents the situation of the best banks from the economies of the world countries, recently affected by this strong financial crisis.
