According to studies, the use of the banking system by the public is low in Latin America in comparison to North America and Europe. The rapid evolution of technology has produced enormous changes in the social, economic and political spheres, since these technological tools have become part of practically all areas of our daily lives. It is therefore necessary to assimilate the innovations offered to us by the Ecuadorian financial sector. This essay reports the percentage of the public who use the banking system in Ecuador and Milagro and also the risks and benefits of the use of electronic services. Furthermore it considers how these services optimize transaction banking through the web, ATMs and call centers, among others.
