Along with a theoretical observation, empirical study was conducted in order to find out possible relations between sources of problems in partner relationships and personality. Seven men and thirty-three women with such problems (N=30) took part in semi-structured interview, and the three following sources of problems were found: personal features of behavior, parents role models and external factors. The participants also filled in special questionnaires devoted to personality characteristics. The results showed that partners with high negative personality characteristics had problems with personal features of behavior in relationships. This result is consistent with previous studies and could be used for practical needspartner relationshipspersonality characteristicspsychological problemsinterpersonal communications |
