Summary: | This article focuses on learning and development during training sessions for fishermen. Based on concepts proposed by Vygotski, we highlight that it is necessary to identify « true concepts » and to know the « zone » where one intervenes in order to make training effective and to allow development of knowledge as well as mobiles. But we also discuss the fact that learners fear the possibility of losing former knowledge (which is effective, although not optimal). This variable should not be neglected during the training process. As such, there is a need to discuss the newly acquired knowledge, so that it does not assume an absolute status.
